The 2024 edition of the legendary Vendée Globe officially began on November 10th. This solo, non-stop, and unassisted around-the-world yacht race is one of the most challenging endurance events in sport and adventure.
In 2028, Scott Shawyer is aiming to represent Canada and the Be Water Positive movement in this extraordinary race.
Attending the start of this year’s edition was an invaluable experience for Scott and the team. It was a chance to witness the electric energy of the crowds, the anticipation leading up to start day, and the overwhelming emotions felt by skippers, families, teams, sponsors, and supporters.
With this firsthand experience, Scott, the team, and our founding partner H2O Innovation are now better equipped to visualise, plan, and prepare for the epic journey ahead in 2028, a journey filled with many iconic races over the next four years. Races and activations that will reach all corners of the world.
