NEWS FLASH! We have entered The Ocean Race Europe!

The Canada Ocean Racing – Be Water Positive Sailing Team is thrilled to announce its participation in The Ocean Race Europe, one of the most prestigious and challenging offshore sailing events in the world. 

In August 2025, the race will start from Kiel, Germany and see the latest generation foiling IMOCA boats racing to the UK, Spain and Italy before finishing in Montenegro.

As the first-ever Canadian team to take part, we are proud to represent our nation in this exciting race, competing against some of the best sailors from around the globe.

This race is more than a test of endurance and skill; it is an opportunity to champion ocean health and raise the profile of our Be Water Positive purpose message across Europe. We are on a mission with our partners H2O Innovation and the IDRA to raise awareness around water scarcity. 

Aligned with The Ocean Race’s Racing with Purpose initiative, we are committed to raising awareness about the importance of water security and inspiring meaningful action for ocean health.

Led by skipper and team president Scott Shawyer, we are excited to navigate this extraordinary challenge while showcasing innovation, resilience, and leadership.
